We have an opportunity for a Secretary to join us in our Aberdeen office providing a high quality and efficient secretarial/administrative service to partners and fee-earners with support, guidance and mentoring from more experienced secretarial colleagues.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Office Manager, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Dealing with all aspects of finance/billing administration and matter opening administration
  • Drafting correspondence for fee-earners
  • Document amendment and copy typing as required
  • Processing fee-earner expenses on Chrome River in a timely manner
  • Managing workflow to the Document & Design Centre, Print Room etc as required; proactively taking steps to ensure work is returned within required timescales
  • Printing, scanning, copying and filing as required
  • Assisting other Practice Group support where necessary
  • Occasional Reception relief duties as required - liaising with clients in person and on phone, booking & preparing meeting rooms, incoming/outgoing mail, travel requests, etc.

**About You

You will have a standard grade or equivalent in Administration, English and Maths. You will be adaptable to change whilst maintaining a professional approach, demonstrating high levels of client care, organisational and time management skills.

Previous legal office experience is preferred but not essential. You will have a proactive and enthusiastic approach with high levels of IT literacy, superb attention to detail and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
