About the role of Trainer

We have an exciting opportunity to join a growing training team! This role is ideal for an experienced trainer, learning and development professional, or someone with training experience who is eager to advance their career in this field.

As part of a leading financial services company, you'll have the chance to study for your CeMap and CIPD qualifications, fully supported by the business. In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering a comprehensive range of training modules, covering key aspects of the financial services industry-particularly mortgage lending-and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, including Consumer Duty guidelines.

You'll play a vital role in equipping staff with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver compliant, high-quality services to clients. From day-one induction programs to ongoing customer engagement, and technical, and regulatory training, you'll create a continuous learning environment that drives excellence and improvement.

Responsibilities for the position of Trainer

  • Deliver specific training including local induction, continuous improvement and refresher training, ensuring effective transfer of knowledge through evaluation and feedback.
  • Work with management to identify specific training needs across the Servicing function and to develop materials and deliver the appropriate learning to meet the needs of the business.
  • Organise workload of self in conjunction with the team to meet business/regulatory timescales, standards and deadlines.
  • Create guides, presentations and materials that support in the delivery of training workshops.
  • Manage and complete administration tasks required for the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Continuously develop and improve current training initiatives and workshops.
  • To research, investigate and learn about new topics in the industry to create and maintain the relevance and currency of training sessions.
  • Ensuring materials and messages meet business, legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate and propose new training tools, techniques and resources available, adapt and implement as appropriate.
  • As part of the team, assist in organising the L&D schedule to be able to prioritise induction training of new colleagues and respond to changing business needs.
  • Understand and identify different learning styles, adapting style, delivery and execution of learning techniques to appropriately facilitate workshops.
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as required by business needs.

Experience required for the position of Trainer

  • Proven experience delivering training, ideally within financial services.
  • Understanding mortgage lending and industry regulations is a plus.
  • CIPD Level 3 in Learning and Development or equivalent, and CeMAP Module 1 (or willingness to complete within the first year).
  • Creative approach to delivering engaging training to diverse audiences.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Well-organized and able to meet deadlines.
  • Customer-focused, providing tailored support and coaching.
  • Results-driven, maintaining high standards and measuring training effectiveness.
  • Open to candidates with training experience, even if not in a dedicated training role.
