Salary: Up to £95,000 + 5% bonus
Location: London (2 days per week in the office, 3 days WFH)

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Finance Business Analyst to join Robert Walters as a Workforce Consultant. As an employed Workforce Consultant, you will benefit from permanent employment with Robert Walters and will be deployed on an interim or project basis into our clients' organisations, in return we will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills with ongoing training and professional accreditations.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the Finance Reporting Control Framework (FRCF) programme, working closely with key individuals within the Finance and Actuarial teams. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant project, documenting current state processes, identifying risks and controls, and uncovering any specific control weaknesses or gaps.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Business Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to work within the FRCF Programme alongside key individuals within the Finance and Actuarial teams. You will document current state processes while highlighting the risks and controls currently in place. Your analytical skills will be crucial in identifying any gaps or weaknesses noted in the current state. You will also capture any issues surrounding the processes documented that require remediation. Your role will extend beyond documentation; you will ensure that the programme meets its goals and objectives by executing tasks and activities required for the setup of the Finance Controls Office.

  • Document current state processes and highlight existing risks and controls
  • Identify gaps or weaknesses in the current state and capture any issues that require remediation
  • Cover all processes end-to-end within functional areas such as Underwriting, Claims and Financial Operations
  • Ensure the programme meets its goals and objectives
  • Help execute tasks and activities required for the setup of the Finance Controls Office
  • Elicit, analyse, and validate the needs of business stakeholders, customers or end users

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Finance Business Analyst position brings a wealth of qualifications and experience. You are a qualified accountant or have an actuarial qualification, with experience working in finance project delivery. While audit experience is beneficial, it's not essential. Your background as a business analyst within financial services, preferably insurance, sets you apart. You have demonstrated experience in end-to-end process documentation identifying risks and controls. Your excellent stakeholder management capabilities allow you to influence challenging stakeholders up to executive level. Lastly, your strong understanding of business processes and organisational structures makes you an asset to our team.

  • Qualified accountant or actuarial qualification with experience working in Finance project delivery
  • Audit experience beneficial but not essential
  • Experience as a business analyst within financial services preferably insurance
  • Experience in end-to-end process documentation identifying risks and controls
  • Excellent stakeholder management capabilities
  • Strong understanding of business processes and organisational structures
