Area Sales Manager

Simon Acres Recruitment are working with a well-established KBB manufacturer, who is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to cover the North of the UK.

Salary: Paying a basic of between £45,000 - £50,000, plus bonus (£65,000 OTE), company car, fuel card and many more benefits.

Covering: The North of the UK**.**

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a well-nurtured patch with some healthy accounts. You will be tasked with looking after and growing existing accounts, with an element of new business involved in the mix.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing, building, and developing existing key relationships with kitchen and bathroom retailers, buying groups, and distributors.
  • Presenting new products, new colours, and promotional offers.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for retailers, addressing their inquiries, resolving issues, and proactively identifying opportunities for upselling.
  • Conducting regular visits, business reviews, and performance analysis.
  • Collaborating with internal teams, marketing, management, etc.
  • Growing network by identifying and engaging with new potential kitchen and bathroom retailers/merchants.
  • Staying updated with industry trends and market developments.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven track record within field sales - selling business to business within the KBB industry.
  • Existing relationships with KBB retailers and merchants (very beneficial).
  • Excellent technical understanding of kitchens.
  • Sound retail sales account management experience.
  • Ability to build and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, driven, enthusiastic and pro-active.
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems.
  • Ability to demonstrate a tenacious and resilient mindset.
  • Be able to manage time and priorities effectively.
  • Proficient with MS packages such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Flexible with business travel requirements.
