Position Overview: As the Commercial Finance Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping the commercial trajectory of the company, providing crucial financial insights, analysis, and strategic direction to bolster revenue growth and enhance profitability. Your responsibilities will entail close collaboration with diverse teams such as sales, marketing, operations, and senior leadership to optimise commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Budgeting and Planning:

  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for commercial functions, ensuring alignment with business objectives through collaboration with department heads.
  • Monitor budget performance, conduct variance analysis, and identify trends to provide actionable insights for optimising resource allocation.

Financial Analysis and Forecasting:

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis on sales performance, pricing strategies, market trends, and product profitability to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to forecast revenue, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and support strategic decision-making.

Commercial Strategy Development:

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to devise and evaluate commercial strategies, encompassing pricing optimisation, customer segmentation, and go-to-market plans.
  • Offer financial insights and recommendations to foster revenue growth, expand market reach, and manage the product portfolio effectively.

Business Partnering and Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as a strategic finance partner to commercial teams, offering financial guidance, scenario analysis, and decision support to drive revenue and margin enhancements.
  • Foster alignment between financial goals and operational execution by collaborating across functions and promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally Big 4 Qualified
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), commercial finance, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and forecasting techniques.
  • Deep understanding of commercial principles, pricing strategies, and revenue recognition principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence decision-making.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and familiarity with US-listed company requirements preferred.
