Our client provides and manages working spaces for over 100 businesses across 3 dedicated sites in Norfolk and East Anglia. Established in 2012 their sites provide the bridge needed to create great relationships between businesses. They continue to grow and with an additional site coming on-stream later this year, they are looking to bring in a Maintenance Technician.

Job Purpose

The Maintenance Technician will be a multi-skilled professional, ideally with an appropriate trade apprenticeship qualification. However, extensive experience and demonstrated knowledge may suffice. This role involves being part of a maintenance team that provides reactive repairs and preventative maintenance across the site.

Principal Duties

Provide first-class service to tenants and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner.

Complete work assigned by the Site Coordinator.

Implement agreed maintenance and repair programs conducted to accepted best industry practices.

Ensure all site facilities and services are operational and HSE compliant.

Work within a "Safety First" culture.

Responsibilities

Maintain high standards for maintenance and project works to the satisfaction of your line manager.

Stay updated with the latest safety information and undertake necessary courses.

Complete work to a high standard within set timescales.

Collaborate and partner with outside contractors to achieve planned outcomes.

Conduct work according to H&S method statements and safely.

Troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance faults, ensuring timely resolution within maintenance ticket target response times.

Maintain effective working relationships with HIL teams and clients.

Adhere to agreed project plans, including scope, milestones, and deadlines communicated by the Estate Coordinator.

Complete all snagging works within relevant time limits, ensuring consistent quality of workmanship as directed by the Estate Coordinator.

Carry out statutory testing and maintain records of testing.

Perform small works repairs around the site.

Inspect and troubleshoot problems and issues reported by clients or colleagues.

Inspect machinery, equipment, buildings, and systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.

Assist in monitoring inventory of materials, equipment, and servicing requirements.

Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment required to perform the role effectively.

Follow a maintenance schedule to ensure that all routine maintenance tasks are completed.

Perform other duties appropriate to the nature and grade of the post, as directed by the line manager.

Other Job Information

The Maintenance Technician is expected to be an emergency responder for the site. The client has a contract with a local security firm to answer alarm triggers and support the site. In emergencies, site attendance may be required to resolve issues.

Some flexibility on working hours is required.

Qualifications

Appropriate H&S training.

Experience in a similar role.

Ability to undertake general repair, maintenance, and construction work around the site.

Training in first aid, fire safety, legionella.

Qualifications in construction, general repair, and maintenance.

Construction discipline trade apprenticeship qualification.

Experience and Skills

Experience working in a maintenance or construction team delivering quality work.

Relevant technical hands-on experience in building construction and maintenance.

Effective interpersonal communication skills.

Understanding of Health and Safety compliance.

Customer service mindset.

Systematic and methodical approach.

Ability to respond to emergency call outs when required.

Willingness to undertake continued professional development.

Experience working on heritage/conservation area sites.

Knowledge of fire safety, first aid, and legionella.
