Management Accountant
- Location: Outskirts of Stroud
- Job Type: Full-time.
We are exclusively partnering with our client in the beautiful Stroud area on their hunt for a Management Accountant to join their small finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a growth role.
The role encompasses financial reporting, maintaining control of key balance sheet accounts, providing management with regular and ad hoc reporting, and supporting the Financial Controller in various tasks.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Produce monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform ledger reconciliations and manage stock valuations and reconciliations.
- Analyse overheads and conduct variance analyses to support financial decisions.
- Maintain financial ledgers for subsidiary companies and provide periodic reporting.
- Maintain group loan records and create intercompany rents.
- Monitor forward exchange contracts and complete ONS surveys.
- Conduct annual reconciliations and gather data for annual insurance renewals.
- Provide analyses for the annual audits and ad hoc analyses for the Managing Director and the Purchasing Manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse data and identify trends.
- Clear and concise reporting capabilities.
- Experience or understanding of stock control and product costing from a manufacturing environment
