Working as part of the Learning and Development Mental Health Southwest Training Team based at the Taunton training centre, you will be responsible for providing a consistent, professional training function that will continue to meet the needs of the business and ensure the effective operations of all training within the Southwest region.
You will be overseeing the facilitation of high-quality classroom-based training and support in all aspects of required training including the Therapeutic Management of Violence and Aggression (TMVA).
Working under the direction of the Regional Training Manager for Mental Health Southwest services, you will be facilitating efficient training operations, ensuring our training centre provides a regular comprehensive induction and refresher training, managing the regional team and completing training reports, audits and guidance.
As a Deputy Regional Training Manager, you will be:
- Working with all required internal and external stakeholders in order to enhance the learning and development provision within the region.
- Acting as first point of contact for information, advice, guidance, and any related activities.
- Taking an active role in the regular review process of all training programmes, related policies, and resources on a pre-determined basis.
- Supporting both site and hub training delivery, as part of the induction programme, refresher training, and specialist service/department delivery
- Acting as first point of contact for all information, advice and guidance relating to the Therapeutic Management of Violence and Aggression (TMVA) within the Southwest region.
- Working with all required internal and external stakeholders in order to enhance the learning and development provision of TMVA training.
- Organising and conducting TMVA related training needs analysis for all staffing groups across the department.
- Providing high quality classroom-based training, on-ward coaching, and support in all aspects of TMVA.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Be experienced with managing, leading and developing a team
- Demonstrate an engaging management approach, leadership skills and the ability to motivating and inspire others.
- Be experienced working with SMT and other key stakeholders to achieve business aims/goals.
- Be qualified GSA TMVA Trainer- minimum 2 years' experience
- Have First Aid at Work Certificate (or willing to gain)
- Have CIEH Level 2 in Risk Assessment & Management (or willing to gain)
- Have formal, certificated teaching/training qualification (or willing to gain)
- Have Level 3 in Management & Leadership (or willing to gain)
