Position: Maintenance Person

Hourly Rate: £11.44 per hour
Hours: Full-Time, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Role Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks, ensuring the care home is kept in excellent condition and providing a safe environment for our residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting, decorating, and basic repairs.
- Change light bulbs and ensure all lighting is functional.
- Conduct routine checks and maintenance on all equipment and facilities.
- Ensure the care home meets health and safety standards.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a computer system.
- Manage and organize maintenance supplies and tools.
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure the smooth running of the care home.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a care home or similar setting.
- Proficiency in painting, decorating, and performing basic repairs.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Computer literacy to maintain records and manage maintenance schedules.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Friendly and approachable with a commitment to providing a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
