It's a small team where there's always a new challenge and the satisfaction that what we do directly impacts on our customers.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage a multi-million Print & Mail cost base - tracking against budget, escalating Threats and Opportunities and understanding and reporting the drivers for any monthly variance
  • Setting financial plans through relevant planning cycles - work with Finance and SRMs to agree annual budgets and revise as needed
  • Responsible for raising POs, receipting and validating invoices, and elements of cross-charging with other business areas
  • Analysis of underlying print & mail data to provide insights and recommendations - mail volume trends; letter types; postal class usage. Provide data and recommendations to support the management team with decision making.
  • Manage and maintain a Continuous Improvement process across the Print & Mail function, evaluating and tracking benefits of local change designed to improve processes and outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with Finance Business Partner, internal SRMs for the Print & Mail Suppliers, internal stakeholders (eg Marketing) and external suppliers

We need you to have

  • Proven ability to analyse and interpret large data sets using tools like Excel
  • Experience of the invoicing, receipting and payments process
  • Experience of budget setting and budget management - particularly understanding trends, threats and opportunities
  • Great attention to detail - the little things really do matter
  • Ability to solve problems and justify recommendations to stakeholders
  • Excellent written, verbal and co-ordination skills

It's a bonus if you have but not essential

  • Working knowledge of Power BI

Red Hot Rewards

  • Generous holidays - 38.5 days annual leave (including bank holidays and prorated if Part–Time) plus the option to buy more.
  • Up to five extra paid well-being days per year.
