An industry-leading financial institution is seeking a Data Governance Lead (SVP) to join their Services, Markets and Client (SMC) CDO - Data Risk & Controls Team
As a Data Governance Lead, you will be responsible for leading activities that contribute to the definition of the Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, and/or Data Risk and Control Framework and Data Risk Taxonomy
This small but high-performing group is at the forefront of defining Enterprise Data Governance Strategy and Data Risk and Control Framework.

Key responsibilities of a Data Governance Lead:

Lead policy adoption, compliance metrics, and training initiatives
Conduct business analysis to align needs with data governance standards
Contribute to establishing data governance and risk control standards
Support key data transformation projects as a subject matter expert
Ensure clear understanding of data-related roles and responsibilities across the business
Manage project lifecycles, including risk assessment and reporting

Required Skills and Experience for a Data Governance Lead:

Experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Risk, Controls, or Data Auditing
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of Data Operating Model practices and policies in financial services
Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Data/Information Management
Relevant certifications in Data, Risk, Audit, or Project Management are a plus
