About the role
As a Neighbourhood Housing Officer, you'll provide a full frontline housing service, including a comprehensive tenancy management service, for a defined neighbourhood. You'll work closely with customers, local agencies and stakeholders to develop thriving and resilient communities.
Acting as an ambassador for Rooftop, you'll engage with customers to design services that work for them, to improve the environment and their quality of life. You'll deliver an excellent, consistent, and pro-active service to the neighbourhood, covering income recovery, tenancy management, anti-social behaviour, empty property management, letting new homes and customer viewings. You'll undertake property MOT visits and work with colleagues and other agencies to ensure our vulnerable customers receive the support they need to sustain their tenancies.
About you
As a Neighbourhood Housing Officer, you'll either hold or be willing to work towards a professional housing qualification and have previous experience of working in a similar role. With knowledge of current housing legislation and welfare benefits, you'll be able to provide information, advice and guidance as well as being comfortable dealing with problems and complaints. With a strong customer focus, you'll have the ability to lead, motivate and enthuse customers to build thriving communities and have experience of multi-agency working, including statutory and voluntary agencies.
