Business Engagement Manager

We are recruiting a newly formed role within our clients organisation and are looking for an experienced Business Engagement Manager with experience of working in, or alongside the regulated financial services sector.

You will work the Marketing & Communications and Account Management teams to raise awareness of our clients offerings and build relationships with prospective clients. Working with the COO you will develop and implement the external engagement strategy, liaise with industry champions, industry bodies and government.

This role is based in Crewe and offer Hybrid working and would require weekly travel into the office.

Responsibilities of the Business Engagement Manager

  • Liaise with external stakeholders to align activities and leverage networks in order to build relationships with influencers and decision-makers in eligible sectors.
  • Engage directly with potential participants to build long-term relationships to ensure that target organisations are aware of our clients organisation and the benefits relevant to their business
  • Work with Marketing & Communications to ensure collateral and messaging is attractive and compelling for potential participants, and delivered through appropriate channels.
  • Work with Account Management to ensure that potential participants have a seamless, positive experience from decision-making to onboarding to the Scheme.
  • Develop and maintain clear, concise and informative reporting that can be used at Executive Committee and Board.
  • Report regularly to COO and Executive Committee.

Skills, experience and qualifications required of the Business Engagement Manager

  • Knowledge and understanding of financial services sector, either from direct experience or as a supplier to the sector
  • Senior level network in financial services
  • Experience in sales, marketing or business development
  • Experience in, and commitment to, working collaboratively and constructively with different internal stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
