Monday to Friday 9-6

The right candidate should be driven by quality and attention to detail. Ideally they will have a minimum of two years, client facing- tenancy accounting and property management experience. Communication skills, face- to face and over the telephone should be excellent. Ideally they would be familiar with the Alto accounting software (not essential).

The package is as follows:

£30-40k basic

  • Potential to earn commission by selling Rental Protection Insurance
  • Based in our busy Shepherds Bush office
  • Monday to Friday- 9:00am-18:00
  • Holiday allowance: (20 days plus 8 Bank holidays, Christmas Eve,

3 Days between Christmas and New Year)

  • Company Pension Employer 3%, Employee 5%

The role consists of:

Accounting roles:

  • Allocating reservation fees
  • Collecting rent payments
  • Authorising rent payments
  • Charging contractor expenses
  • Processing new tenant files and accurately setting up new tenancy on system
  • Preparation of landlord statements
  • Weekly contractor payment and production of statements
  • Weekly Agent Fee payment and production of statements
  • Deposit transfers and repayments
  • Retaining Non-resident landlord tax and completing quarterly and annual returns to HMRC
  • Preparation of annual landlord tax statements
  • Annual return of landlord income to HMRC
  • Ensuring accurate daily banking totals and regular account reconciliation
  • Chasing rent arrears
  • Preparation of landlord invoices
  • Chasing unpaid landlord invoices
  • Assisting external accountant with annual audit
  • Daily miscellaneous payments (reservation fee refunds, final utility bills etc.)

Property Management:

  • Instructing contractors appropriately to undertake routine maintenance
  • Organising routine gas safety/electrical safety inspections
  • Organising property inspections & sending out inspection reports to clients
  • Sending out check out reports, costing dilapidations and agreeing repayments between landlord and tenant with escalation to arbitration if necessary.
  • Out of hours emergency repairs cover
  • Managing housing license applications
  • Negotiating tenancy renewal terms between landlords and tenants and drawing up the necessary paperwork for signature
