We are assisting a growing SME property services business, and they are recruiting for a Residential Property Solicitor to head up their in-house Residential Division.
This role offers fully remote working.
This role would be ideal for a qualified solicitor with strong experience within property law and a track record within the residential sector (landlord and tenant).
Reporting into the MD, this is a new role within the business and will be responsible supporting the business with all in-house legal support within their residential division. This will include managing a high volume of cases from start to finish and be the 'expert' for all things legal. Key duties and areas of responsibility will include;
- Reporting into the MD and responsible for managing all cases on the residential division - tenants and landlords
- Working on a high number of cases and managing through to completion
- Advising clients on landlord and tenant matters
- Section 8 and 21 Notices, including Notices to Quit.
- Debt Recovery, Statutory Demands and Monetary claims
- Willing to build and manage a team
- Responding to enquiries verbally, in person and in writing.
- Assisting in drafting supporting witness statements in support of possession applications.
- Conducting research and knowledge of expected leasehold reform following 2024 elections
- Attending trade shows and events on a regular basis. General business development activities.
- Working closely with associations to assist its members with tenant issues.
- Support with the expansion of legal services offered by the business i.e. boundary disputes, inheritance and will support.
For this role candidates will need to be fully Qualified, with be a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience and a relevant law degree (or equivalent). Experience within property law / residential is essential, ideally landlord and tenant experience,
