Nursery Deputy Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Deputy Manager to join our Ofsted rated Good, independent childcare provider. We are committed to offering the highest level of care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Our mission is to nurture and educate the children in our care, as they are the future changemakers of our world. We are looking for a Deputy Manager who can teach within our preschool room (3-5 year olds)

Day to Day of the role:

  • Uphold and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, maintaining high standards within the nursery to meet EYFS requirements.
  • Provide leadership and support to nursery staff, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the welfare of all children.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents, carers, and outside agencies.
  • Contribute to staff training, recruitment, and development initiatives.
  • Assist with administrative duties to ensure regulatory compliance and smooth nursery operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an Ofsted rated Good nursery, or within a management structure in an Ofsted Good or above rated nursery.
  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent
  • At least 2 years' experience in a senior role within a nursery/preschool setting.
  • Approachable, empathetic, calm, and self-motivated individual with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS and current Early Years Inspection Framework.
  • Thorough knowledge of child safeguarding and welfare.
  • Full-time availability, 40 hours per week across 5 days.
