Stock Accountant

Opus are working on behalf of a business that specialise in the production and distribution of highly collectable commemorative products. They are seeking a highly organised and analytical Stock Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the accurate and efficient management of our stock inventory, from procurement to final product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the entire stock lifecycle, including purchasing, storage, and reconciliation.
- Managing valuable stock, including purchasing, fixing, and transferring.
- Conducting daily metal account reconciliations and monthly stock reporting.
- Analysing financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue enhancements.
- Implementing and maintaining robust stock control procedures and internal audits.
- Developing and executing procurement strategies to secure high-quality materials at competitive prices.
- Managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.
- Collaborating with the Finance Director and auditors to ensure accurate stock valuation.
