Overview
We are seeking an experienced M&E Design Engineer with a strong background in sustainable project development. The ideal candidate will have expertise in mechanical and electrical design, along with proficiency in 2D and 3D drawing software. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing energy-efficient and environmentally friendly building services systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop sustainable mechanical and electrical designs for building projects
- Utilise energy modelling software for environmental energy modelling
- Create 2D and 3D drawings using Revit and CAD
- Conduct thermal modelling
- Produce detailed reports and attend site and design team meetings
- Act as the main point of contact on projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or relevant field
- Professional experience in M&E design, ideally with a focus on sustainable project development
- Proficiency in energy modelling software such as TAS and IES
- Strong skills in 2D and 3D drawing, including Revit and CAD
- Ability to manage a team and collaborate with design and site teams
- Knowledge of environmental energy modelling and thermal comfort standards
Day-to-day
- Collaborate with design and site teams to develop sustainable M&E designs
- Utilise energy modelling software to ensure energy efficiency and daylighting
- Create detailed drawings using Revit and CAD
- Attend site and design team meetings and contribute to technical discussions
