Position: Full-Time School Caretaker

Are you a proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented individual looking for a fulfilling role in a dynamic secondary school environment? We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded secondary school in Redbridge, seeking a full-time caretaker to join their dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
- General maintenance of school buildings and grounds to ensure a safe, secure, and clean environment for students and staff.
- Conducting minor repairs and arranging for larger maintenance tasks.
- Ensuring school facilities are prepared for daily use, including classrooms, assembly halls, and sports facilities.
- Security management, including locking and unlocking the premises and monitoring access.
- Maintaining the school's heating and lighting systems, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Working closely with school staff to support the smooth running of daily operations and events.
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous experience in a caretaker or similar role (desirable but not essential).
- A hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving and an ability to work independently.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring positive relationships with staff, students, and visitors.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming school environment.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional references
