Murray McIntosh are currently recruiting for an Electrical Commissioning Engineer with Marine experience to work for a key client of ours on a contract basis as detailed below:
You will be working on a vessel where a range of equipment & systems need to be commissioned ahead of sea trials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support comprehensive commissioning plans for maritime projects, honouring key milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Support the Commissioning Manager and other stakeholders to align commissioning activities with project schedules.
- Perform the execution of commissioning activities for maritime vessels, systems, and equipment.
- Conduct pre-commissioning inspections and ensure all necessary preparations are completed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during commissioning.
- Ensure that commissioning activities meet or exceed industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Adhere to quality control measures and conduct inspections to verify the integrity of systems and components.
- Maintain accurate records of commissioning activities, including test results, inspection reports, and documentation of system configurations.
- Generate commissioning reports to communicate progress, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders.
- Ability to lead and mentor commissioning teams, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective commissioning processes.
Experience required:
- At least 2 years previous experience in a commissioning role
- Marine engineering background - ideally electrical engineering bias
- Proven experience commissioning maritime vessels, systems or equipment
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Attention to detail and adhering to all safety standards
