Student Support Worker
- Annual Salary: £21,497 - £26,421 (pro-rata)
- Location: BS16, Mangotsfield
- Job Type: Fixed Term (until 31/08/2025), Term Time (35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year)
- Start Date: As soon as possible
We are looking for a dedicated Student Support Worker to join our team at a school known for its community focus and ambitious nature. This role involves providing 1-2-1 support to students, understanding the root causes of their behaviours, and implementing mentoring plans to improve their self-esteem, confidence, behaviour, and attitude.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Carry out 1-2-1 support sessions with students to understand individual challenges.
- Identify and implement effective mentoring plans tailored to student needs.
- Dedicate time to help students improve their self-esteem, confidence, behaviour, and attitude.
- Work independently and think on your feet to address and resolve student issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated resilience in challenging situations.
- NVQ Level 3 Learning Development and Support Services or equivalent, or extensive relevant experience in a similar or related post.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
