Boston Borough Council is in an exciting period of change, working within a Partnership arrangement with East Lindsey and South Holland District Council.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Housing Standards Officer to lead the Boston Housing Standards Team.

As a Senior Housing Standards Officer, you will provide day to day line management to the Boston based team to help ensure that housing conditions across the districts meet nationally adopted standards. In addition to this you will be working collaboratively with the Senior Officers from our 2 Partner Councils. With support from the Team Leader and Service Manager you will be working as a key person within the team to help deliver this service. You will need to be prepared to deal with a wide range of premises and people across our diverse districts.

We are adopting an agile approach to working patterns and you will be provided with access to technology and support to achieve this. You will spend a significant amount of your time working with other colleagues/agencies to ensure that the highest possible standards are met. Where standards are not met, you will need to work within the legislation and take formal action to deal with non-compliance. All 3 Councils within the Partnership are forward thinking authorities in terms of flexible/agile working arrangements; the successful candidate would be able to make use of these offices for some of the working week and work outside of the office, when not carrying out officer support/inspections/site visits.

This position is a shared role within the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership (SELCP) and forms part of the S113 agreement between the participating partnership Councils in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement 1st October 2021.
