Production Planning Manager

Elevation are proud to be the exclusive recruitment partner to one of our key large Manufacturing clients in Selby to find their Production Planning Manager.

Paying c£55,000, this is an autonomous position who requires someone on site full time (37.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday - with an early finish on Friday!

As the Production Planning Manager you will provide robust production & material planning to ensure delivery of the Master Production Schedule (MPS). You will be responsible for the forecasting as well as ensuring the plans compliment the S&OP process.

Responsibilities (in brief - a full job description is available):

  • To be a key member of the manufacturing management team and contribute to the overall strategy for the supply chain and operation of the business
  • Effective management and leadership of 1 team member
  • Be a key member in attendance of planning and S&OP meetings
  • Be a strong business partner to the purchasing team to ensure material availability, MOQ is communicated and managed, stock levels balanced and to match production plan
  • Updating forecast templates, feedback reports, analysing results, and loading MPS
  • Manage Engineering changes effectively
  • Modify production bill of materials (BOM's) when required
  • Handle queries and issues that may arise as a result of customer or supplier behaviour
  • Create and actively progress and manage productions plan
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are complied with
  • Facilitate effective communication, liaising with SLT and across the business to achieve company objectives

Ideal candidate:

  • Previous experience of Production Planning Management, either as entire role or as part of a Supply Chain position
  • Experience in electrical hardware manufacturing desirable. Experience in general manufacturing essential
  • Experience of IFS system ideal but not essential. Proven ability to manage and improve systems essential
  • Hardworking, driven individual who enjoys autonomy and thrives on the challenge of improving processes and systems
  • Able to get to site 5 days per week
