Kitchen Assistant (6 Month Secondment)

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our Product Development team on an initial 6-month secondment. You will assist within the Development Kitchen daily, to help maintain the smooth running of all Kitchen activity within the development gated process. This is a fast-paced role, where no one day will be the same and a great opportunity to grow your career! This is a 6-month secondment initially, however there is the opportunity for the role to become permanent in the future. Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate, order, chase and collect raw materials and packaging ready for samples
- Ensure appropriate stock rotation within kitchen pantry/fridges
- Shop for benchmark products, samples, customer lunches and replenishment of kitchen supplies
- Manage courier bookings, mitigate additional spend by consolidating deliveries where possible. Track spend by period and share with Line Manager on quarterly basis.
- Ensure kitchen hygiene standard are audit-ready at all times
- Washing up throughout day and maintenance of Development kitchen
- Ensure external cleaning contract schedule is adhered to and report any issues /non conformance
- Working with the wider Commercial team to deliver Customer Visits – Supporting our Chef in lunch preparation and refreshments for our guests
- Manage and replenish the packaging cupboard to ensure appropriate packaging available for sample making
- Support the Development Team to deliver internal Masterclasses and Culinary Training, to aid the continuous improvement and upskilling of the department
