Finance Manager

On behalf of our award-winning telecoms client, we are seeking an exceptional Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in directing the financial trajectory of the business. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will oversee all financial functions, ensuring compliance with UK regulations while providing strategic financial guidance for sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership to core finance and extended departments, including billings and credit risk management.
  • Ensure the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including the Management Pack, with meaningful commentary.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with our growth objectives.
  • Establish cost accounting methodologies to drive operational efficiency and informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with department heads to consolidate and analyse financial data for strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
  • Implement effective cash flow management strategies to support projected growth plans.
  • Develop and implement robust cost accounting systems and methodologies, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to formulate and execute financial strategies, emphasising cost optimisation and improved financial performance.
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, maintaining realistic financial targets aligned with organisational goals.
  • Continuously review cost control measures and identify opportunities for optimisation and process improvements.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and accountability throughout the organisation.
  • Lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship and development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • ICAEW or ACCA Qualified.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of UK regulatory requirements and financial best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and accounting software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proven track record of building and leading successful finance teams.
