Job DescriptionAs a Safeguarding and Assessment Team Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing our safeguarding and assessment services. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals by overseeing comprehensive assessments and implementing effective safeguarding measures. You will lead a dedicated team of professionals, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and best practice guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of safeguarding and assessment professionals to deliver high-quality services.
  • Safeguarding: Ensure robust safeguarding policies and procedures are in place and adhered to, protecting vulnerable individuals from harm.
  • Assessment: Oversee comprehensive assessments to identify needs and risks, and develop appropriate care plans.
  • Compliance: Ensure all services are compliant with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice guidelines.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other agencies, stakeholders, and professionals to coordinate effective safeguarding and assessment services.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate service delivery, implementing improvements where necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: A relevant qualification in social work, healthcare, or a related field.
  • Experience: Significant experience in safeguarding and assessment, with a proven track record in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of safeguarding legislation, regulations, and best practice guidelines.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage complex cases and lead a team effectively.
