We are seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our client's operations team. This role requires operating a forklift, managing inventory, and ensuring the smooth running of warehouse activities. The successful candidate will be flexible, able to cover various areas of the warehouse as needed, and committed to health, safety, and environmental sustainability.
Day to Day of the role:
- Operate warehouse machinery and material handling devices safely.
- Pick and pack products for shipment to customers and other locations.
- Perform basic receiving and shipping functions.
- Relocate products within the warehouse and maintain stock integrity.
- Interact with the ERP system to process transactions.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Handle returned goods and customer issues promptly.
- Update warehouse-related reports and KPIs.
- Perform preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities and adhere to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2-3 years' experience in warehouse and/or manufacturing.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
- Valid lift truck license and order picker training.
- Effective communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
- Ability to lift up to 25 kilos and manage time effectively.
- Reliable, organised, detail-oriented, and focused.
