An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified solicitor to join a highly regarded and forward-thinking law firm in Leicestershire. As part of a Legal 500 ranked team, you'll work alongside experienced professionals in a firm recognised for its excellence across a number of practice areas.

The firm is looking to expand its Dispute Resolution team through the strategic hire of a Contentious Probate Solicitor.

The Role:
You will take responsibility for a varied caseload of contentious probate matters, including disputed wills, inheritance claims and estate-related litigation. This is a key role offering scope to play an integral part in the team's long-term development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and progress a range of contentious probate cases from inception to resolution
  • Advise clients on inheritance disputes, contested wills and estate administration issues
  • Collaborate with senior team members on departmental growth and strategic initiatives
  • Participate in business development and contribute to the firm's strong client relationships
  • Maintain high standards of compliance and client care

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor (NQ+), with experience in contentious probate or litigation
  • Solid understanding of probate law and civil procedure rules
  • Ideally, some background in commercial or property litigation
  • Strong communication, drafting and negotiation skills
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
