About the Opportunity:

This leading specialist in claimant litigation is expanding its costs department and is looking for a confident and capable Costs Draftsperson to take ownership of a varied caseload. This permanent position offers the chance to work remotely from anywhere in the UK while benefiting from full integration with a collaborative, well-supported in-house team.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft Bills of Costs, Costs Budgets (Precedent H), Points of Dispute and Points of Reply
  • Advise and collaborate with fee earners on costs strategy
  • Handle settlement negotiations and participate in detailed assessment hearings where required
  • Prepare high-quality Statements of Costs for summary and detailed assessment
  • Use CostsMaster (essential) and other software for efficient document preparation
  • Optional advocacy work if you have prior experience and interest

What We're Looking For:

  • At least 3 years' experience in legal costs drafting
  • Strong background in personal injury and/or clinical negligence costs
  • Solid understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules relating to costs
  • Comfortable managing your own caseload independently
  • Experience using CostsMaster (must-have)
