Location: Uxbridge - on site role initially, with longer term hybrid working options

Salary: £28,000 + £2700 area allowance - Total £30,700 per annum, + Quarterly Bonus.

Exciting opportunity to join a global leader in technical manufacturing, who are seeking an IT Support Engineer to join their team. This role is crucial for managing and supporting IT equipment, being the first point of contact for IT issues, and ensuring the security of IT infrastructure.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Manage and support IT equipment and phones for all staff.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all IT-related issues.
  • Oversee IT infrastructure and security across offices.
  • Handle the ordering and inventory control of IT and phone equipment.
  • Install IT workstations, including PC systems, laptops, operating systems, and company-specific software.
  • Provide support for Microsoft components and basic network infrastructure.
  • Manage Active Directory, Exchange, Windows 10/11, and Office365, with 3rd line escalation when required.
  • Undertake various IT projects, including company intranet and new system implementations.
  • Engage in IT supplier-related activities, such as procurement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree educated in IT/Business with IT.
  • Ability to effectively analyse and communicate data and software.
  • Proven success in managing projects within a previous role.
  • Experience in a similar IT support role is desirable.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Excellent attention to detail and logical thinking.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • Interest in project work and flexibility.
  • Resilient with optimum time management and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Proactive with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team and service-oriented with a willingness to learn.
  • Integrity in handling confidential, sensitive information.
