REED are partnered with a large employer in the South Wales area who are on the lookout for a Commercial Analyst with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of commercial contracts. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring their business agreements are beneficial and compliant, while also driving efficiency and value in their operations.
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough reviews of business agreements to verify their precision and adherence to organisational standards and regulatory mandates.
- Engage in collaborative efforts with various departmental teams to draft, scrutinise, and refine contractual documents and terms, aligning them with the company's strategic goals.
- Scrutinise and assess the financial components of contracts, including pricing and payment schedules, to enhance value and reduce exposure to risk.
- Contribute to the creation and execution of policies and procedures surrounding contract and supplier relationship management, aiming to bolster process efficiency and regulatory adherence.
- Oversee the contractual performance management, utilising service level agreements, experience level agreements, key performance indicators, and other tools to ensure effective service delivery.
- Keep abreast of market developments and industry standards to inform contract management and negotiation strategies.
- Aid in the crafting of project-related documents, ensuring they reflect the organisation's strategic direction and client needs.
- Maintain meticulous records of contractual documents, amendments, and correspondences.
- Act as a liaison with business partners to address queries, troubleshoot issues, and negotiate adjustments to ongoing contracts.
- Perform regular checks to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and conduct audits as necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in contract analysis, particularly with IT contracts.
- Effective negotiation skills with a focus on aligning contracts with business objectives.
- Strong financial acumen to assess contract implications.
- Experience with P2P systems for order processing and supplier payments.
- Familiarity with contract management systems for maintaining records.
- Ability to conduct market research and apply industry knowledge.
