A Level Biology Teacher - Central London

We are currently recruiting for a Teacher of Biology for a London World Education Centre in E1, Central London on a temporary basis on an International Foundation Programme in Medicine and Health Professions.

The successful applicants will have the ability to teach students from a variety of countries and cultural backgrounds, and with different language levels. This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic teachers looking to contribute to INTO's International Foundation, Programmes which prepare international students for University studies. The role will include teaching through lectures, seminars and tutorials as well as the design and preparation of module contents and assessment. The post holders will ideally have a relevant post-graduate qualification, relevant teaching experience and a teaching qualification.

Requirements:

  • Ability to teach across a range of programmes varying in intensity and class size. This includes lectures, seminars and tutorials.
  • Ability to teach students from a variety of countries and cultural backgrounds, and with different language levels.
  • Ability to assess effectiveness of teaching skills against student progress and performance.
  • Up to a maximum of 25 timetabled (1.0 FTE) teaching hours per week.
  • Will be required to work with key stakeholders across other functional areas of INTO such as marketing, finance, student services. May also be required to liaise with students' parents and other external stakeholders.
  • Degree in Biology or a subject degree related to Biology, such as Biochemistry.

Desirable:

  • Teaching qualification e.g. PGCE / equivalent.
  • ELT experience.
  • An appropriate postgraduate degree if teaching HE students.

Start date: 9th / 16th September
