We are searching for a prospective Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to join a team in Coalville on a full time, temporary basis. The ASB Officer will manage a caseload of complex ASB cases, working closely with multiple agencies to resolve issues. The role involves managing ASB cases, investigating complaints, maintaining appropriate records, and overall providing excellent customer service in all areas.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in dealing with anti-social behaviour and nuisance cases.
  • Knowledge of housing, civil, and criminal law, including the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime, and Policing Act 2014
  • Ability to collect and present evidence in court.
  • Experience liaising with various partner agencies.
  • Strong case management skills using systems like Sentinel.
  • Proactive approach to community engagement.
  • ? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong IT and analytical skills.

The Role
As an ASB Officer, you will coordinate, manage, and resolve complaints of anti-social behaviour, ensuring tenants comply with their conditions of tenancy. Key responsibilities include:

  • Regular contact with complainants and their representatives regarding complaints of anti-social behaviour.
  • Investigate, negotiate, and enforce tenancy conditions related to nuisance and anti-social behaviour.
  • Collect witness statements and evidence for cases referred to court and attend court as required.
  • Liaise with partner agencies, such as the Police, Solicitors, Social Services, Probation Services, and other relevant agencies, including resident groups and Neighbourhood Action Teams.
  • Participate in case conferences and multi-agency meetings.
  • Manage casework in relation to anti-social behaviour using the Sentinel case management system.
  • Engage in proactive community-based work and events with partner agencies.
  • Build trust and confidence with residents.
  • Participate in partnership meetings focused on anti-social behaviour, such as Joint Action Group (JAG).
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety practices in accordance with policies.
