Job Title: Stock Controller
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000
Location: Bedfordshire
Working Model: Office Based which will change to hybrid after passing your probationary period.

The Procurement and Supply Chain Division at SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Stock Controller / Buying Assistant to join their international Manufacturing client on a full time, permanent basis. This is a newly created role due to exciting growth plans across the business in the next 1-5 years.

As a Stock Controller, you will manage your own portfolio of customer accounts and be responsible for ensuring the wider procurement team have the correct levels of stock to cover customer forecast and demand, ensuring you are proactive in your approach and working to a fast turnaround.

Your daily responsibilities could include:
- Working closely alongside the wider procurement department, sales division and production team to keep updated on accurate stock forecasting.
- Identifying cost saving opportunities with processing effective order quantities and ensuring in demand stock is always available.
- Maintaining an accurately updated system with PO details, quantity and expected delivery dates.
- Managing the order management process from liaising with suppliers to successful delivery of the direct order to the customer or sales team.
- Building strong business relationships with suppliers to ensure service levels, quality control and lead times are to the highest standards.
- Being aware of category budgets vs actual category spends.
- Strong understanding of seasonal trends and being prepared for peak periods.
- Supporting the senior procurement team with raising and processing quotations and sourcing new suppliers.

As a Procurement / Supply Chain Coordinator, you will ideally have experience working within a similar Controller/Coordination focused role or have experience working within an Account Management role managing customer expectations and stock control.

What is essential is that:
- You are proactive and highly organised having the ability to plan your workload in advance.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong at building relationships internally and externally at all levels.
- Passionate about developing a successful career within Procurement and Supply Chain.
- IT Literate - Confident using Microsoft Packages.
