Main Job Purpose
Are you an enthusiastic and qualified accountant with experience in detailed budgeting and forecasting?
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will support the business ensure business-facing projects, budgeting, cost control projects, and forecast management cycles are run effectively and produce first class outputs. You will be helping to create new systems and processes and building robust and easy-to-understand financial models, capable of scenario testing and sensitivity evaluation for budgeting and forecasting. Supporting the business in rolling out new reporting and tools for data interpretation, providing insight and key performance metrics to guide on results and useful insights to drive business improvement
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly consolidated reporting pack with detailed commentary and variance analysis (consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow).
- Financial and business modelling and forecasting.
- Support financial planning, budgeting cycles, and cost control.
- Ad hoc as well as regular reporting and business evaluation.
- Deep dive and analysis of key focus areas and projects.
- Identify, measure and analyse business KPIs.
- Support with business case writing and implementation of plans.
- Creation of presentation materials and memoranda.
- Provide executive support and assist with project management to drive projects forward.
Skills / Experience
- Experience and strong understanding of key accounting concepts i.e. accruals, prepayments, asset capitalisation, revenue recognition etc.
- Financial planning, modelling, and analysis.
- Experience with budgeting and re-forecasting exercises.
- Querying and manipulating large datasets for evaluation and visualisation.
- Project management.
- Team management.
- Process flow mapping and documenting business processes and requirements.
- Dealing with pricing and commercial concepts and ideas.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification).
- Strong data interpretation skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Numerical, pricing, and price compliance skills.
- Motivation to develop and maintain strong senior stakeholder relationships.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office suite tools inc advanced Excel skills and Xero accounting package.
