This organisation are based in the modern and trendy Jewellery Quarter and have decided to bolster their finance team by bringing on an ambitious Assistant Accountant into their team in the heart of Birmingham. They have a strong structure and are looking for an individual who is ready to take the step up and start to gain experience completing senior duties. As an Assistant Accountant, you will be working closely with an experienced and friendly finance team which includes a qualified Finance Manager and a number of experienced Management Accountants. You will be closely involved with the management accountants, who will take their share of responsibility for your development in this position. They will oversee your progress as you take on more responsibilities and eventually build up to being involved with the production of the management accounts for the organisation. They have a fantastic culture and always look to prioritise the development and engagement of their staff. It's a brilliant opportunity for an individual who is looking to take on senior responsibilities and showcase their impressive experience and abilities.
Skills Required
- To be currently studying for your ACCA or CIMA qualification, or to have already completed a number of these examinations.
- To have experience completing duties including posting journals such as accruals and prepayments, and completing reconciliations on the bank and balance sheet. Any exposure to the P&L would be appreciated.
- To be confident and ambitious. This organisation provides a brilliant pathway for progression and for individuals who have the ability to take on new responsibilities.
- To be able to communicate in and effective manner. This role will involve liaising with internal and external stakeholders, it is key to be able to properly represent yourself and the business.
