Class 2 Store Delivery Driver

Saturday and Sunday £21.39ph
Overtime paid after 42.5 hours at £22.76ph

Role information:
The counties they cover are Suffolk, Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Sussex and Kent and London.
You will be delivering chilled, frozen and ambient goods on a DAF 18 tonne vehicle. Some of the goods are high value so attention to detail is a must!
The role is multi drop delivery and you can have anywhere from 6-12 drops loaded on the vehicle. If you are heading to Portsmouth for instance the drops will be in and around this area or on the travel to and from destination.
As a driver on the contract, the planning team can plan routes up to 12 hours long. The nature of the stores you will deliver to you will be driving in tight rural locations and along tight side streets you may have to park away from the delivery point and walk the cages to the store. It can be physically demanding!
The vehicles are loaded for you at the depot and the driver is responsible for de-kitting the vehicle upon return.
Good customer service and positive attitude is a must and have the ability to complete paperwork to a high standard.
There may be times where you will be required to do two trips in the same day, please be prepared for this!
Prior to acceptance on the contract, you will need to do a drugs test, providing you pass, you will have to pass a theory and practical assessment with the driver trainer which will last for around 2 ½ hours and is UNPAID.
Shift pattern:
Full time. The operation works Monday to Sunday, and we are looking for a shift pattern of every weekend and 2 days off together during the week.

Between 4:00 am to 08:00 am
Hours:
Minimum 8 hours pay – approximately 12 hours per day.

- Categories C on your licence.
- "Can do" attitude.
- No DR10's No CD10's No IN10's - NO MORE THAN 6 POINTS.
- Digital Tachograph card and CPC qualification.
