Your new role
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the charity's financial operations, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports to the senior management team and board of trustees.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support the charity's strategic objectives.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to inform decision-making and optimise resource allocation.
- Supervise and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Liaise with external auditors, stakeholders, and funding bodies, maintaining strong professional relationships.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in a senior financial role, preferably within the charity or non-profit sector.
- Strong understanding of charity accounting principles and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and leadership skills.
- The ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Relevant accounting qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) are highly desirable.
