Trade Counter Team Leader
Proactive Personnel are currently recruiting for a Trade Counter Team Leader for a large manufacturing company with a site in Bredbury. This is a permanent position working for a highly successful business with its first location England.
This is a full time position, Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 17:00 and Friday 08:00-15:00.
You will ultimately report to the Trade Centre Branch Manager regarding all aspects of your role, however on the day-day aspects of the trade counter your direct report will be the Trade Counter Sales Manager. You are responsible for working as a part of the trade counter team in a busy fast paced and high-volume environment, providing support to the customers and team members of the Business.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Inputting sales orders/ quotes and enquiries both face to face
- Ensuring all despatches are invoiced and allocated correctly
- Handling and allocation of all payments, including cash & Credit card lodgements from customers, and arranging bank / end of day reconciliation.
- Co-ordinating with colleagues on an ongoing basis to ensure outstanding uncollected product is managed and collected within a reasonable timeline.
- Management of the aged debt profile for trade counter customers to ensure credit terms adhered to
- Approval and issue of customer credits in a timely fashion
- Ad hoc & planned calls to and from customers with sales orders, quotes and enquiries
- Transport routing and admin /paperwork
- Portal order release and administration
- Liaising with outside couriers around deliveries and collections and ensuring ample customer communication
- Showroom samples kept updated and listed on spreadsheet
- Updating CRM with tasks and conversations with customers
- Ensuring all swatches, brochures and point of sales material updated and general showroom and trade counter are clean, tidy and welcoming
- Promoting use of "online app" by customers.
- Review of customer sales profile to identify opportunities and monthly reporting to branch manager/ sales team (report via Finance Team)
- Co-ordinating any administrative tasks which may require assistance by the OS group HR, HSEQ or IT teams
- Other Ad-hoc reports as requested by branch or senior management
- Assist with coverage of breaks and holiday relief on the trade counter and warehouse as may be required from time to time.
- Any other duties as deemed necessary to ensure the smooth running of the trade counter.
