Family Lawyer Responsibilities:
- Handle TOLATA (Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act) claims
- Manage Schedule 1 Children Act cases
- Provide expert legal advice on cohabitation disputes
- Draft and review cohabitation agreements
- Represent clients in court proceedings when necessary
- Conduct legal research on complex cohabitation law issues
- Prepare detailed case files and legal documentation
- Liaise with clients, providing clear and empathetic communication
- Collaborate with other team members on complex cases
- Stay updated on the latest developments in cohabitation and family law
Family Lawyer Requirements:
- Newly Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
- Experience in TOLATA and Schedule 1 Children Act disputes (preferred)
- Background in civil proceedings (advantageous)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
