The Role - Croydon Location - Teaching assistant

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic Primary School this September. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about working with children and supporting their educational journey. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to provide tailored support to students, ensuring they receive the attention and guidance they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Providing one-on-one and group support to students, particularly those with special educational needs.
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Supporting the assessment and recording of student progress.
  • Preparing classroom materials and resources.
  • Supervising students during break times and on school trips.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks as required.
  • Ability to commute to Croydon

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working with children in a school or similar setting is desirable.
  • A relevant qualification in education or childcare is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
