Position: High Reach Electric Forklift Mechanic
Location: Bermuda (outside of the UK).
Salary: £50,000-£60,000 per annum (initial one-year contract, extendable for a further two years)
Acorn by Synergie seeks a qualified and experienced High Reach Electric Forklift Mechanic to join their client's warehouse team in Bermuda. In this role, you will be responsible for condition monitoring, planned and reactive maintenance of forklifts, predominantly side loaders.
Responsibilities include ongoing maintenance, general diagnostics, and repair of trucks and other heavy equipment as required. The successful candidate must be a qualified high reach forklift operator and assist with stocking, order preparation, and product restocking.
Additionally, you will diagnose faults, perform subsequent repairs, and conduct safety inspections. Comprehensive training on the company's range of workshop machinery will be provided, and you will have the autonomy to organize your workshop according to your preferences.

About You:
- Ideal candidates will have experience working on forklifts, HGVs, side loaders, or plant equipment, with strong expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics.
- Mechanical engineering background is essential, with training provided on the company's products.
- Experience with heavy equipment, including power tools, diagnostic equipment, hydraulics, and calibration tools, is required.
- A solid understanding of warehouse health and safety protocols is necessary.
- Candidates with formal equipment certifications will be given preference. Good general health is required, as this role involves physical tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Service and inspection of forklifts
- Planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair
- Fault finding and repairs
- Working five days out of seven, with Sundays off.
Experience and Requirements:
- Mechanical engineering and pneumatic experience
- Service and inspection experience
- Background in vehicles, HGVs, LGVs, forklift trucks, or plant equipment.
