A nationally recognisable FCMG brand, based in Bristol are now looking to employ a Transport Manager due to the continued growth of their South West depot. With an established supply chain up and down the country, this business will provide you with a vast amount of stability and growth.
Your new role
Within this Transport Manager role, you will be reporting in to the Site General Manager whilst having total accountability and responsibility for your team of Drivers and Transport Planners. You will be expected to ensure all vehicles are maintained through their service schedule and are in a roadworthy state; any deviations are then to be reported and fixed. Within the Transport Manager role, you will also be expected to undertake management duties including, hiring, holiday rota management, HR issues etc.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application for this Transport Manager vacancy, you must have a proven track record of leading a team of Drivers and Transport Planners. You will ideally hold a CPC qualification, but this isn't crucial to the success of your application. You must have a working knowledge of Tachographs and the WTD (Working Time Directive) to ensure all employees are within UK law standards at all times.
What you'll get in return
As the Transport Manager, you'll be paid an annual salary of up to £40,000; this will be dependent upon your experience. In addition to this, you'll be entitled to a wide range of company benefits upon completion of your probationary period.
