Posted by Mitchell Adam.

This large and growing manufacturing business based near Telford are undertaking a large number of international acquisitions as part of a specific international expansion plan, and have created a new opportunity for a Systems Implementation Accountant to support this strategy.

Working in a stand-alone role, this position will see you manage the system implementation & integration requirements of the business - assessing systems present in acquired businesses for suitability, assessing information and reports required by the senior management team of the UK group and producing an implementation and integration plan that satisfies the needs of all areas of the business. You will lead and manage system implementation projects, system improvement projects and possible new software tender processes, all the time maintaining effective relationships with senior management teams in all businesses.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take real ownership for a crucial role in a growing business, in which you will be given total autonomy and trust in fulfilling the key responsibilities and requirements expected of this role.

Ideally, you will:

  • Have had previous experience of implementing a new system, ideally as a project lead / manager;
  • Have an understanding of accounting principles and reporting requirements (previous experience as a management accountant or project accountant would be advantageous);
  • Be able to lead processes and projects to successfully implement and integrate new and existing systems into the group;
  • Possess a confident and assertive communication style, with the ability to build effective relationships with people at a senior level (you will need to acquire large amounts of information from different people to tight timeframes);
  • Demonstrate examples of your ability to use initiative, manage your own workload (without the need for supervision) and make important decisions by yourself.

In return, you will:

  • Join an expanding company at a very exciting time of international growth, in a business-critical position;
  • Gain complete autonomy in a role in which you will be trusted to manage your own workload, objectives and deadlines;
  • Have an opportunity to make a tangible impact on the success of the business, and make a real impression on the business in a newly-created role;
  • Enjoy a competitive starting salary (including bonus) and great opportunities to progress your career further as the international business grows;
  • Have the chance to travel abroad (as your role requires) to work closely with newly acquired international businesses.

Joining an expanding business at an exciting time, this role will give you a great opportunity to make a visible impact and notable difference to the continued success of this international acquisition strategy.
