Finance Business Partner opportunity to join a renowned public sector organisation on a permanent full time basis. My client is looking for a committed and engaging individual who is an experienced Business Partner to add value to the existing friendly finance team.

As the Finance Business Partner you will support operational and tactical decision making with influential financial insight, backed up by relevant information that is analysed to assess impact on organisational value , alongside other duties below;

Key responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner

  • Support the monthly management accounts and reporting to deliver timely and insightful variance analysis to budget holders
  • Support the Annual Budget and Quarterly Forecasting processes and reporting to deliver timely and insightful variance analysis to budget holders
  • Support the Deputy Finance Business Partner in providing Business Partnering support to their Services
  • Manage the Deputy Finance Business Partner, ensuring their workload is reasonable and supporting their development through professional study and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) as relevant.
  • Work with the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis and the rest of the team of Finance Business Partners to ensure that a consistent approach to the Finance Business Partnering service is observed across the organisation and that information is presented in a consistent and comparable way.
  • Represent the Service at Committees/working groups where relevant.
  • Engage in external networks to ensure best practice.
  • Deputise for the Deputy Finance Business Partner as appropriate.
  • Undertake any additional duties commensurate with the role and grade as determined by the line manager

Required skills and experience of the Finance Business Partner

  • Fully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA Accountant or equivalent
  • Strong track record of management reporting of financial information.
  • Experience of providing financial analysis to both finance and non- finance managers
  • Experience of working in complex multi- disciplinary environments
  • Experience of budget setting in a complex organisation.
  • Experience of managing staff.
  • Experience of using Financial Information Systems.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of analytical skills
