INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER
NEW CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE IN FILTON FOR AN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER WITH EXPERIENCE ASSESSING MACHINING DETAILS AND ASSEMBLY DRAWINGS
- On-site in Filton
- Initial 6-month contract with a likely extension
- £32ph via Umbrella
- 35 hours per week over 4.5 days
- 1 stage interview
- BPSS clearance required (client will provide sponsorship)
WHAT WILL THE INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER BE DOING?
This role will involve providing manufacturing expertise to support suppliers in the context of ME Industrial Capabilities with a particular focus on machine details, subassemblies and major components. The role sits within a team who support the introduction of Major mods and New Product introduction for key projects over multiple variants of aircrafts. Other responsibilities include:
- Proactive engagement in the Continuous Product Development processes
- Understand and influence cost drivers of a particular product or work package
- Supporting industrialisation activities such as tooling reports, condition of supply, manufacturing specifications assessments and BoM comparisons
- Maintain associated technical documentation and seek to assure supplier compliance
WE NEED THE INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING...
- Experience with Face to face meets with suppliers
- Project Management skills such as milestone management
- Experience sitting in Design Reviews
- Ability to understand drawings
- Experience with CAD
- Ability to obtain a BPSS clearance
