D365 Configuration Manager

A quick look at the role

The D365 Configuration Manager is responsible for the configuration and changes to business critical systems, reporting into the Head of Software Engineering. They work closely with the business stakeholders, developers and testers to ensure D365 meets the business needs and follows best practices. The role is responsible for Finance & Operations and Power Apps in the first instance, growing to cover CRM and other Microsoft solutions.

Your core responsibilities

  • Manage the configuration of Dynamics 365 for Biffa, working closely with business to get the most value from D365.
  • Manage team of 5 application analysts, providing training and career development.
  • Define the configuration management process and establish & maintain the configuration baseline that serves as the reference point for further development, testing, and deployment.
  • Lead the technical configuration of the system enhancements, extensions, and integrations using the industry standard tools
  • Work closely with the business domain leads to plan the configuration needs over a rolling 12 month horizon.
  • Provide 3rd line technical support and troubleshooting for system issues, working with the internal IT support team, Microsoft support team and other vendors as needed.

Our essential requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, system analysis or a related
  • 2 years+ experience in configuring and managing Dynamics 365
  • Experience in working with PowerApps
  • Strong knowledge of the Enterprise applications functionality, architecture, and development tools.
  • Proficient in using industry tools, e.g. Azure DevOps to track configuration changes.
