People2people is working with a rapidly expanding architectural firm based in Berkshire. Seeking a Senior/Associate Architect to become a key part of this dynamic team, you will be working across a variety of fantastic projects. Specialising primarily in the residential market, this firm is recognised for delivering high-quality architectural designs, with projects ranging from small single-dwelling homes to large-scale residential developments.

As a Senior/Associate Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the firm's projects by overseeing architectural design and project management from conception to completion. This is a career-defining opportunity for an experienced architect with leadership potential to join a company known for innovation and creativity within the residential sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead architectural design development across multiple projects, from initial concept through to completion, primarily focusing on RIBA stages 0-4.
  • Oversee and manage project lifecycles, ensuring each project aligns with the client's needs, vision, and expectations.
  • Handle multiple concurrent projects effectively, ensuring that all timelines and budgets are adhered to while maintaining the high-quality design standards for which the firm is known.
  • Collaborate with the architectural team, encouraging creative input and sharing new ideas to push the boundaries of modern residential design.
  • Coordinate project timelines and budgets, ensuring deadlines are met and that project scopes remain on target.
  • Produce detailed architectural drawings and layouts, showcasing design expertise while maintaining a hands-on approach to the design process.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant planning regulations and other statutory requirements, while maintaining excellent relationships with clients, contractors, and external consultants.

About You:

  • To excel in this role, you should have a proven track record within the residential sector
  • Fully qualified Architect, or an experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams, guide junior architects, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, allowing you to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Problem-solving abilities, with a creative and proactive approach to overcoming design challenges and project obstacles.
  • Proficient in architectural software and tools, including the ability to create detailed architectural drawings and layouts.
