A state-of-the-art food processing facility in Houghton Regis is seeking a Maintenance Engineer. The role encompasses responsibility for both electrical and mechanical maintenance of the factory's equipment. The engineer will engage in troubleshooting PLC systems, addressing breakdowns promptly, and carrying out planned and preventative maintenance on all food process and packaging machinery. A comprehensive understanding of both electrical and mechanical faults and equipment is essential.
Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:
- Fault finding and repair of food processing and packaging machinery.
- Quick response to breakdowns and emergency repair needs.
- Adherence to Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
- Continuous improvement of maintenance procedures and equipment performance.
Maintenance Engineer Requirements:
- Recognised qualification in electrical engineering.
- Electrical Bias preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with PLC fault finding and maintenance.
Maintenance Engineer Qualifications:
- BTECH/ONC in Electrical discipline or equivalent multi-skilled engineering qualification.
- C&G 2330 Level 3 Electro-technical certificate with NVQ 3 in Electrical Maintenance.
- Time-served apprenticeship.
- HNC in electrical, mechanical, or production maintenance engineering.
