Group Financial Controller

Stanton House have been exclusively engaged to find a Group Financial Controller on a 12-month fixed term basis for a high growth, investor backed FMCG business based in North London. There is a high probability that this role would convert to a permanent contract for the right candidate.

As Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a team of 7 and the day to day running of the UK Finance function.
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, including preparing financial statements and presenting financial information to senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring the company's accounting records are accurate and up-to-date, including overseeing the accounting team and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Embedding strong financial processes and controls to ensure high calibre finance function.
  • Managing and developing the finance team, including setting goals, providing guidance and support, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Overseeing the tax accounting for the UK entity.
  • Other adhoc finance projects.

To be successful in this role you must be ACA / ACCA or CIMA qualified with 8+ years post qualified experience. In addition to this you must:

  • Possess the understanding of what constitutes a robust accounting control environment
  • Have strong technical accounting skills including knowledge of consolidations and financial statement preparation
  • Be commercially astute, articulate, technically strong and influential leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
  • Possess exceptional communication skills (written and oral)
  • Have the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks, coordinating with various stakeholders
  • Have strong systems skills including Excel and SAP.
